Tired
It's been a tiring day. I made breakfast for Mayra & she didn't like it. It was glass noodles with carrots & spring onions. I added milk & I guess that was the yucky part of it. My MIL made fried rice with crab sticks on the side & Mayra preferred - the crab stick. In the afternoon, MIL went out with her friends & I dragged Mayra & my Mom to OUM. I had to settled my claims by today which I did. The tiring part was I thought I left my claim form in the office and off we went but it wasn't there. I had to go back home to find it on our table. Lucky ALL i NEEDED TO DO WAS PHOTOSTATE MY FORMS AND CLAIMS ARE DONE. hOPEFULLY jANUARY i'LL BE EXTRA RICHER. wE HAD LUNCH AT bABA & nYONYA. lOVELY FFOOD. hIGHLIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

What a Week
I must say since my last entry, my days has been filled with loads of work and happenings. Work is ongoing every week but lucky I managed to settled them before the week ends. I even offered a colleague to help her with any of her programs while she takes leave. What a saint, aren't I?
MLTR was in town and that's Michael Learns To Rock for you who still don't know them. Honestly, I'm not a fan but when you have the opportunity, at least you can tell them their songs are so catchy, it's practically your song list during karaoke sessions. My colleague interviewed them and we took loads of pictures. I've uploaded to FB but I'm still figuring out why I can't upload the videos.
So, their concert wast last Saturday and we were given free tickets. We're just so lucky in that sense that all these are a part of our job. Friday night, I noticed weird spots on my daughter's tummy to her back and I was thinking now this is rare. My daughter caught the shingles. It's half way round her left side and they say, it's fatal if it connects to the right. Anyway, the paediatrician at Damai Specialist confirmed it's shingles and of course, rare for under 12 when it's common in older people. It's not that itchy but it's painful. I had it when I was carrying my child on my back. It's funny how it's just on your left-side. I got it during chicken pox season and now my daughter turned 2 1/2 with shingles and it's chicken pox season too. The concert? I didn't go.
Alhamdulillah, my daughter has recovered. Thanks to doctor's medications and MIL's remedies. She flew down to KK fr KL the same day we told her the news. She has been helpful and I'm grateful. Tomorrow is my day off and it's going to be a long weekend. Ms M is back and it was great catching up. I miss the fun and laughter. I really need it anyway.

Shopping and a Concert
Looks like there's a new place to shop in KK. Suria Sabah launched on 3rd December and a few shops have let their doors open to curious visitors. So far, we've checked out Metrojaya, Reject Shop and Eu Yan Sang. All shops that we were hoping KK to have one day and it has already. Thank God for Eu Yan Sang. I had to buy some stuff there in KL because it's cheaper. I could get them in town too but their a few ringgit expensive. I was ecstatic when that particular thing I need from Eu Yan Sang is sold for the same price in KL. I became a member and one happy customer. Not much I can say but I guess we're gonna leave Suria till all shops are opened. I saw Elianto on the first floor and Little Me will open soon which is near Reject Shop on the third floor.
On another note, MLTR concert will be happening here on 12th December at Chancellor Hall of UMS. You guys can get FREE tickets on Sabah Vfm (92.7fm) 1230-1240pm from 4th to 7th December. Good Luck on the quiz!

Surprise!
His birthday is just around the corner. I haven't a clue what to get him yet. Last month he surprised me with a fragrance I have been eyeing but kept it to myself. Today was another surprise. It was hanging in my closet. All these years with him, there were so many surprises but I never made surprises. I always get him to tell me what he wants. Maybe when he says no need or oh, nevermind it's not worth it, he's actually hinting that he likes it. Maybe or I guess I will have to surprise him this time. He did once said he love surprises in a joking mode but I wasn't sure whether that was a corny and cheesy line he took from a romantic comedy we saw. Oh, my husband. If only I could read your mind like Edward Cullen. It feels as if I can't read your mind. It looks empty. You're just like Bella. If only you'd talk in your sleep what is it that you want. That will make my life easier and get that gift. If I was Alice Cullen, I'd definitely see and know what I'd end up getting you!

December Finally...
Yup. I can't believe how time lies. December only means two things: a birthday and a Christmas gathering with close family and friends.
Each year, we make a point to join my family for a Christmas dinner at least or depending on situation it could also be a lunch. It's also when everybody is back in town. Both my sibs are working out of the state and this is the best time of the year. It's also a special occasion for a special man. Every year, I'd asked him what he wants but every time it's just a dinner. It's totally not fair. He lavished me with gifts on my birthday, mother's day, our anniversary or even surprise me for no reason at all. This year, I think I'll surprise him. Let's hope he doesn't read this. Anyway, he never reads this unless someone told him so if you are that someone, don't tell him.
So, awhile ago I googled and got this:
Throw my husband a surprise party? This would be fun. Get our close friends and surprise him!
Get him a wine set or his favorite champagne? We don't really drink so nah, forget this one.
Does he love fashion? He does. It is a good idea to buy him clothes coming from his favorite designer. I noticed he liked that shirt we saw. Sunglasses or perfume? Hmmm..he just got a perfume and he's fussy with sunglasses.
Technological gadgets? Electronic gadgets? Yes, he was looking at a laptop. Was thinking of getting a camera but it would't be a surprise because he needs to be there. Man, with all these listed, I gotta make sure to allot a certain budget for it because these items are expensive. Oh yes, he was thinking of getting a new handphone too. He just can't decide what he likes.
My husband is not a sporty kind of guy so don't think a sport related gift should even be on my list. Probably a pair of jogging shoes? At least when he jogs, he'll think of me?
A special trip for the two of us? Good idea. The thing is leaves have been taken to those celebrating Christmas so that leaves us working on Christmas eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Lucky, it's just an hour or so.
Now I gotta print this to my memory and let's hope I find that perfect gift for the man I call Husband.

New Moon
Finally, I watched New Moon. Vampires vs Werewolves. I'd say the storyline improved from Twilight. I understand the movie better now. I had to watch Twilight twice! Even the actors and actresses have improved. Even though my fave Dr Cullen's appearance was only 2 scenes if I'm not mistaken?! It left a deep impact over me. I so love Peter Facinelli! Now that's a MAN! In Twilight I was so waiting for half an hour for this so-called Edward Cullen but in New Moon, he appeared after 10 mins in the movie and still I can't feel HIM but I made a conclusion - Edward's a damn sweet talking vampire! Despite his skin and bones, I might fall for him with all the sweetness of his words. Edward is charming and I can't blame my girlfriends for loving him! Jacob - what can I say about Jacob? A cougar? hehehe. Way too young but a mighty buffed wolf definitely! (My hubby must have been motivated by his bod. He has a reunion to attend to in February and all he spoke about was looking good for the event.)
I hate vampire movies but this franchise just hit me. I love Bella's hair since Twilight and at one point I wish I was Bella too. I'm just amazed how she thinks a truck for a birthday gift is cool. Riding on a bike is cool? oh, no not for me! Maybe I'm not the adrenaline rush kinda person. I love how determined she is for her love of Edward. Of course like any other teenager, being confused and all, a little fling with Jacob didn't hurt. It must have been that hard knock on the rock that got her to think Jacob was beautiful. I preferred Jacob with his short hairdo. It suits his body. The scene where he quickly took off his shirt to wipe blood off Bella's head was funny. I mean, I guess that was one way to show off that he worked out or there were definitely no tissue or handkerchief around! There were other funny moments too: Mike Newton went yellow while watching an action movie with Bella and Jacob, Jessica's chattering was funny and I don't know why it's so hard for Edward and Bella to have a deep kiss. It seems like Edward is always in pain. Of course he's controlling himself but his facial expression is just too funny for me. The class scene where they were watching Romeo and Juliet was funny too. The teacher somehow reminds me of somebody. Michael Sheen? Oh, I love him as Aro the leader of the Volturi. Great acting!
Of course last but not least, Alice. I want her power to be able to see the future. I love her sense of fashion and the fact that she drove a Ferrari! I love that she can be friends with Bella and her way of resisting Bella's blood. Overall, I'd watch New Moon again. It put a smile to my face especially the end part. I'm looking forward to a whole collection of Twilight series. I am young but I never felt so young watching this movie. I know now what it's like to be a Twihard! If you haven't seen it. Go! I watched it out of curiosity and I shall wait patiently for Eclipse!

I'm Going Bananas!
Thanks to a boring day in the office last week, I blog hopped to Farah's blog, and discovered the Banana diet: supposedly HOT in Japan. Check it out here: Morning Banana diet.
Let's see if this works, I'll post a testimonial later. I should lose 10 pounds and that's 4.5kgs in a week. I might as well try even though I should avoid bananas because according to my blood type A diet, bananas are a no-no. Ok forget about my blood type A diet for now. It's been complicated since the husband is an AB. We don't share the same diet. Crossing my fingers!
